“I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”

Chris Davison

Hi, I'm Chris and I've been part of the NoteAbility team since 2013. I love making people laugh, finding creative ways to make learning fun, and teaching students how to become well-rounded musicians. I am also an occupational therapy assistant at Advanced Therapy Solutions, where I work with kids with disabilities. My wife Jerri and I live in Simpsonville with our spunky daughter Eliza. Three words that describe me best are: passionate, patient, and playful.

How did your passion and interest for music start?

I took piano lessons as a kid and played trumpet in middle school, but my passion for music really started to develop when I began playing drums in my high school marching band and jazz band.

What do you do at NoteAbility?

I teach drums and guitar. I also help manage our student bands.

Who is your hero and why?

I really admire my parents because they're very loving, hardworking, and generous. They taught me to find the good in people and always encouraged me to follow my dreams.

Favorite Song

It's impossible for me to pick one song so here are a few of my favorite musicians: Radiohead, Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters, Mutemath, James Taylor, Paul Simon, John Mayer, Hans Zimmer, Miles Davis, Buddy Rich, Mozart, Beethoven, and Led Zeppelin
